Aimwell Cemetery Association request removal of old containers and flowers

The Aimwell Cemetery Association request all containers and flowers be removed from the cemetery before April 2. This is to allow time for clean-up work to begin for the Annual Memorial Service on April 21. Your understanding in this matter is appreciated. Thank you, A.W. Etheredge, Secretary-Treasurer.

Catholic services offered on Palm Sunday

The Palm Sunday, April 1, schedule of masses for the Catholic Community will be Saturday evening at 5:30 and Sunday morning at 11:30, both at Sacred Heart in Grove Hill. There will be no masses celebrated in Thomasville or Jackson on Palm Sunday.

Oak Grove Baptist Church to hold Revival on Monday nights

Oak Grove Baptist Church in Pine Hill will be holding Monday Night Revival services the month of April. There will be a covered dish meal at 6:00 p.m., with services at 7:00 p.m. each night. Speakers will be: April 9-Joe Cole- Pastor, Camden Baptist Church; April 16-Fred Freeman- Pastor, Providence Baptist Church; April 23-Tom Stacey-Selma, Director of Missions; April 30-Jerry Butler-Pastor, South Sauty Baptist Church-Langston. Music provided by Rickey and Sharon Ault. Everyone is invited!

5th Saturday Singing at Dickinson Baptist Church

Dickinson Baptist Church will host the 5th Saturday Singing March 31, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. There will be local singers and everyone in invited to attend!

Singing at the Clarke Street Baptist Church

The Sensational Harmonizers of Sweet Water, will be singing at the Clarke Street Baptist Church. Sunday night, April 1, 2007 at 7:00 p.m., everyone is invited.

Midway Baptist Church to hold benefit singing for Charles Hunt and family

On Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Midway Baptist Church is having a Benefit Conventional Gospel Singing to raise funds to provide financial aid to Charles Hunt and his family. Charles received extensive injuries in a two vehicle accident and remains in the USA Hospital in Mobile. Everyone is invited to join the Midway congregation in supporting this worthy cause in this conventional gospel singing. The song leaders will be members of the attending congregation. Bashan Baptist Church plans Easter Services

Bro. Jimmy Simpkins and the Members of Bashan Baptist Church would like to invite you to attend our Easter Sunrise Services on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007. Sunrise Service will begin at 6:00 am and then we will have our regular Sunday School Service at 10:00 am and Worship Service will be at 11:00 am. There will be no night services this day.

Confederate Memorial Day Observance set for Sunday April 1

Join us at 2:00 p.m., April 1, 2007, at Horeb Baptist Church, located on Princess Trail one block north of U.S. Highway 84 in Whatley. We will travel a short distance from there to the Creighton and Bettis family cemeteries fro the memorial service. Creels Chapel N. M. Church will hold revival services Monday, April 9, thru Wednesday, April 11. Services will be at 7:00 p.m., with a different speaker and special singers each night.

Sunflower AOH Church of God honors Pastor

Come celebrate with us as we extend honor and accolades to our pastor, Elder Samuel L. Calhoun II, for 22 years of dedicated pastoral service to the Sunflower AOH Church of God, McFadden Avenue, on Sunday April 8, at 2:30 p.m.

He had pastored other churches as this is his 36th year pastoring. His knowledge and expertise is not limited to pastoring. He retired after 26 years from the U. S. Army, Army Reserve and National Guard.

Additonally, he worked many years as a carpenter, barber, plumber, electrician, truck driver, certified diesel mechanic, certified welder, and retired from Scotch shipping shed in Fulton, as a fork lift driver.

Many changes are attributed to his leadership and pastorium with much of the work being done at his own expense.

Thomasville United Methodist Church presents "The Last Days of Christ" play

Thomasville United Methodist Church will present their passion play "The Last Days of Christ" this Sunday evening, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. This is the third year the play has been presented. The public is cordially invited to attend this very meaningful service.

Ladies of Distinction hosting benefit

The Ladies of Distinction Social Organization is hosting a benefit program fro Bro. Will (Sam Bo) Westbrook on Saturday, April 7, at the Independent Missionary Baptist Church in Sweet Water. Everyone is invited and asked for a monetary token of love. All groups, choirs, soloists are asked to render melodies of inspiration. Thank you in advance for your prayers and support.
