Tri County Pearls of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. holds Easter Egg Hunt

Tri County Pearls of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. invites you to a Community Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 6, 2007 from 12:00 noon til 2:00 p.m. It will be at the Bessie Munden Recreational Park in Camden; games, coloring contest, face painting, bunny hop and door prizes (bring your own basket). Kids up to 8th grade are invited.

Recreation Dept. to hold annual Easter egg hunt

The Recreation Department will be having their annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday April 7, 2007 at the Gates Drive Pavilion. The hunt will begin at 10:00 a.m. There will be two sections divided one for preschool through kindergarten, then a section for first through third grade. Please come out and join us in the fun. Refreshments will be served and prizes given in the two age groups. If you have any questions please contact the Recreation Department at 334-636-1159 ext. 5.

Good Friday Drive Through

The public is invited to a drive through dramatization of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on Friday evening at 7:00 at the Thomasville United Methodist Church. The drive through will close at 8:30 C.A.A.S.T. Meeting Announced The Citizens Against Alcohol Sales in Thomasville (C.A.A.S.T.) will hold a meeting on Tuesday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Thomasville Church of God. The church is located at 704 Brown Street, one block off Highway 43 south in Thomasville behind Antiques and Accents. All interested citizens are invited to attend.

NAACP meeting canceled

The Clarke County NAACP Sunday meeting has been canceled! A meeting has been rescheduled for April 12 at 6:00 p.m. Executive Board and all other members please be present.

Rikard's Mill Annual Reopening (Beatrice)

The annual reopening of Rikard's Mill will be held on April 14, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. til 4:00 p.m. Enjoy Doug Bagwell's mule and wagon rides; music Featuring: Winkie Hicks Bluegrass band of Grove Hill, Jimmy Brock, Fred Sheffield and Friends Classic Country Band of Camden; Delay-Middle of the Road Rock Band of Monroeville; Mitchell Stabler of Franklin Playing Hank Williams. Admission is $5 adults and $3 seniors/children. Located between Monroeville and Camden on Highway 265, 5 miles North of Beatrice. Bertha Mae Chapter #314 to have Annual Health Awareness Fair

Bertha Mae Chapter #314 Order of Eastern Star will have its Annual Health Awareness Fair Saturday, April 21, 2007 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Jackson City Hall. There will be screenings for: Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Speech and Weight Check. There will be mini seminars on: Diabetes and Health Care Disparities, Hospice Care, Nursing Home Care, WIC/Immunizations, Diet and Exercise and Alzheimer's Support. "Photography In Your own Backyard" contest

The Grove Hill Arts Council is sponsoring a photography contest and exhibit April 27-29 at the Clarke County Museum. Chip Cooper, an award winning Alabama photographer, will be the judge for this event. Entries must be brought to the Public Library in Grove Hill, Jackson or Thomasville between April 2-13.
