James Thrash

James Thrash, age 83, of Thomasville, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Thomasville Nursing Home in Thomasville. He was born April 21, 1923, in Pennington. He was a retired maintenance worker for Macmillan Bloedel, and a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Funeral services were held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home, Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Dean and Rev. Denny Couturie officiating. Burial was in Sunny South Baptist Church Cemetery in Sunny South.

He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Thrash.

He is survived by: wife, Janise Elizabeth Thrash of Sunny South; two sons and three daughters; Billy (Laura) Thrash of Sunny South; Linda (Jim) Ramshur of Columbia, Miss.; Phyllis (Eric) Leeton of Thomasville; Larry Joe (Pam) Thrash of Picayune, Miss.; Sharon (Jason) Crosby of Sunny South; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Shannon Averitt, Andy Averitt, Zachary Crosby, Zane Crosby, Jason Ramshur, Justin Thrash, and Eric Leeton, Jr.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to the Gideon International.
