There is no special time for prayer

One can pray most anywhere,

When things aren't going quite your way-

Pause a moment, just to pray.

Well how about the weather this past week! I cannot remember when it has been so cold on Easter Sunday. That did not stop some of the children from hiding eggs. Do the meals always seem better on holidays? Or is it family and friends whose visits make it so special.

The residents said not to plant the garden until after the cold spell, because we would be planting it again, so I am glad we listened to them. The residents had lots of visitors from family and friends who visited with them over the last week.

The residents would like to thank the ladies from the Nurses Guild, New Hope No. 1 Baptist Church for the Easter Baskets they made for them Saturday. They look forward to this every year.

Sunday afternoon they enjoyed listening to James Keel and his group singing. They do a wonderful job.

Monday was a full day, first there was the glamour girls, now our residents love the beauty shop and cannot wait until they open again; "The Daily Chronicle"; Tiny Drinkard singing, we all love him; we done "Wake Up" for our special group (this is a sensory stimulation for them); manicures; poetry corner; and to end the day Lorenzo Whitley celebrated his 95th birthday with a party given by his family for all the residents.

Tuesday was started off with "The Daily Chronicle", Glee Club, Story by Pat, special group enjoyed gospel music, Fun and Fit by Rehab Department. We ended the day with our chatter club, now that's fun!
