Ruby Rivers Sanders Ruby Rivers Sanders, age 90, of Thomasville passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Monroeville. She was born October 1, 1916, in Thomasville. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at Midway Baptist Church on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Rex Jackson and Rev. Scott Myers officiating. Burial was at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. She is survived by: one son, Robert William Sanders of Thomasville; two daughters, Faye Sanders Hicks of Jackson; Kaye Sanders Cobb of Monroeville; brother, Vernon Rivers of Grove Hill; sister, Jean Singleton of Monroeville; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Active pallbearers were: Larry Sheffield, Neil Champion, Mike Oliver, Perry Dailey, Clint Bagley and Billy Brooks. Honorary pallbearers were: her Sunday School class at Midway Baptist, and Johnny Clyde Buckalew, Jimmie Stephens, Johnny Bagley, Pat Hill.
