Deadline to turn in SGA petitions is Friday, May 4
Hannah Etheridge

Greetings, from Thomasville High School! There are only 14 days of high school left for seniors who are required to take exams and 12 for seniors who are exempt, which is making the senior students at THS very anxious and excited. As a senior, I can say on behalf of most of the students that we are ready to begin a new chapter in our lives and want to cherish these last few days together. Graduation will be held on May 25th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Anderson Field.

Any 9th-11th grader who is interested in holding an SGA office for the 2007-2008 school year should see Mr. Dyess for a petition to run. The deadline to turn in these petitions is Friday, May 4th. Elections will be held Tuesday, May 15th.

The Thomasville High School Art Exhibit will be held tonight, May 3rd, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend the art exhibit to view the art students' masterpieces they have created throughout this school year.

Seniors, remember that library books are due on May 14th. Library books for all other grades are due by May 21st.

Senior Exams are scheduled for Thursday, May 17th, for 1st and 3rd blocks and for Friday, May 18th, for second and fourth blocks. The last day for students who are exempt from exams is May 16th.

Wizard of Oz tickets are ON SALE NOW!!! Anyone who is interested in attending the performance should see Mrs. Newton before school, during break, or after school to order tickets. Drama class members will be selling the tickets as well. Tickets are $7 each.

Honor's Day at THS will be held for grades 9-11 on May 10th. Honor's Nigh for seniors will also be held on May 10th.

A great big GOOD LUCK goes out to all of the Thomasville High School juniors who will be participating in Clarke County's Junior Miss this weekend. The participants from THS are Camelia Forte, Natalie Rake, and Katie Simon. This event is an exciting one for the girls and they have been working extremely hard to represent Thomasville well. I encourage the citizens of Thomasville to come out and support them on Saturday night at 7:00 in the CCHS Auditorium. GOOD LUCK, GIRLS!!!

Until next time, I am Hannah Etheridge. Have a great week!
