Over 100 pot plants seized
      Over 100 marijuana plants were found in Clarke County Friday when the Alabama Bureau of Investigation's eradication team flew over the county. A majority of the plants were spotted by the helicopter pilot just off Dial Road in the Walker Springs community.

Brother charged in traffic death
      A brother has been charged with wreckless murder following a one-vehicle accident that killed his sister on Chastang Hill east of Jackson Saturday. Donna Dawn Rodgers, 27, of Evergreen was killed when the older model pickup she was a passenger flipped.

      Army Private First Class Caleb Jay Morgan, of Thomasville is currently serving a one year tour of duty in Iraq with the Military Police Unit from Huntsville. PFC Morgan is the son of Ms. Jayne Morgan of Thomasville. He is scheduled to return to the U. S. in October.
