Former Thomasville High School football standout Shamus Hudson signed a letter of intent this past week to continue his education and play football for Faulkner University in Montgomery. He will be enrolling at the University this fall and will be part of the inaugural football team fielded by the school.
Hudson, who finished at Thomasville High School in 2006, is projected to be a running back for the Eagles although he was a mainstay for the Tigers on both offense and defense throughout his career here. Always among the offensive and defensive leaders for the Tigers, his performance in his junior and senior seasons earned him many honors including being named to the ASWA 4A All- State teams both years. In his junior year, 2004, he received honorable mention designation as a linebacker while in 2005, as a senior he was again recognized for his defensive play, being named to the 4A All-State first team as a linebacker.
