Let's try to keep it civil on alcohol But wouldn't it be nice if no more people had to suffer personal attacks during the next three months when it comes to the alcohol issue? Unfortunately, we are inclined to agree with Herron's grim assessment that there will be plenty of nastiness spread around as those for and against alcohol sales in this community square off and push their positions.
Negative campaigning is as old as politics itself. But maybe we can rise above the fray and avoid making it too personal. We think that's all council member Herron and others are asking for, and we don't think it's too much to ask.
