Benefit for Wilbur Newton

There will be a Gospel Singing benefit for Wilbur Newton, a Lou Gehrigs-ALS patient, on May 19 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CCHS Auditorium. Singing will be The Revelator's and eight year old Mallory Broadus, Good News, Final Answer and Peyton Rivers. Williams Temple CME Church to hold Annual Woman's Day Program

Williams Temple CME Church invites everyone to attend the Annual Woman's Day Program on Sunday, May 20, at 2:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Sister Nell Barron from The New Greater First Baptist Church in Thomasville.

Antioch AME Church to hold Annual Combined Choir Day

Antioch AME Church invites everyone to attend the Annual Combined Choir Day on May 20; at 1:30 p.m. Our speaker will be Rev. Richmond A. Chaney, pastor of the St. Union Baptist Church of Leroy. We are asking all groups, choirs, and soloists, to register at the door and render an A & B selection. Good Hope Baptist Church will have Memorial Day services

Good Hope Baptist Church will have Memorial Day services on May 20. Worship service will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a covered dish lunch. The Revelators will bring special music after lunch. Everyone is invited.

Homecoming to be held at United Methodist Church in Lower Peachtree

Homecoming will be May 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lower Peachtree. Everyone is invited to worship and share in the informal time and dinner on the grounds.

"The Old Spinning Wheel in the Parlor," home scenes in LPT long ago; picket fences, porches, raised windows, rocking chairs, and swings, open halls, parlors, settees, and oil lamps to name a few things. (Please write or tell them your remembrances of these and more home scenes.)

Show and Tell, please bring plants, flowers to share; photos; and any memorabilia especially that related to the theme (fans, cushions, vases, hankies, gloves, teapots, aprons, linens, lamps, books, and more).

Come early and stay late. Bring lawn chair and food items.

Witch Creek Baptist Church Homecoming

Witch Creek Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming and decoration day on May 27, at 11:00 a.m. Claude Agee will be the quest speaker, followed by lunch; and the Revelators will be singing at 1:30 p.m.

Fourth Year Appreciation for Pastor at New Greater First Baptist Church

The Fourth Year Appreciation for Carlton L. Hogue, Pastor of New Greater First Baptist Church of Thomasville, will be held on Sunday, June 3, at 3:00 p.m. W. C. McNeil, Pastor of Mount Sinai Baptist Church of Mobile, will be the quest speaker. Everyone is invited.

Homecoming and Singing at Oak Grove Baptist Church

Oak Grove Baptist Church in Pine Hill will be having Homecoming Service on Sunday, May 20. At 1:00 p.m. "The Gospel Jubilee" of Jackson will be singing following lunch in the fellowship hall.

Grove Hill Methodist Protestant Church is having a Car Wash at Wal-Mart

Grove Hill Methodist Protestant Church is having a Car Wash at Wal-mart (located in Thomasville) on May 19, starting at 8:00 a.m. While your vehicle is being washed, you can visit the Coke trailer for a cool, refreshing treat. They thank you for your help!
