Phillips honored

Anna Michelle Phillips

Congratulations to Anna Michelle Phillips of Sunny South. She has been chosen to be listed as an honored student in the 2006-2007 "Who's Who Among Outstanding Students In America."

Students are chosen for outstanding educational achievements in their age groups and have an opportunity to apply for one of many scholarships awarded through the American Who's Who.

Anna is the daughter of Michael and Caroline Phillips. She is an 8th grade student at Thomasville Middle School where she maintains an "A" average. Anna serves as a school newspaper photographer and class representative. She participated in drama and school plays. Some of her special honors and awards have included the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, Academic Award, Academic Bowl, D. A. R. E. program, Essay Award, Honor Roll, Reading and spelling awards.

She is a member of the 4-H club, academic team, drama club, newspaper club, People to People Ambassador program, and was a member of the Builders Club, Spanish Club, Student Government Assoc. She earned her babysitting certificate and attends Friendship Baptist Church.
