Alabama Southern honors students at T'ville campus

English: Allison Day and Sharon Beech both received Most Outstanding
Alabama Southern Community College honored students recently who had achieved top scores academically and in leadership positions.

Students inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society were: Sharon Beech, Anna Bush, Kimberly Goggins, Jennifer Henson, Shelia McGrew, Britney Morgan, Kelly Patton, Mittie Pearson and Carla Williams.

Students recognized as Who's Who Among Community College students were: Callie Terrell, Heather Gallant, Jessica Gates and Shelia McGrew.

Students recognized for scholarships were: Holley L. Parten - University of Alabama Heather Gallant and Shelia McGrew were recognized as being chosen for the All- Alabama Academic Team.

Award recipients for the Business Technology division were: Accounting: Most Outstanding - Sharon James; Computer Applications: Most Improved - Tiffany Welch; Most Outstanding - Heather Gallant; Microcomputer Applications: Most Improved - Michelle Ezell; Most Outstanding - Ashley Bedwell; Office Technology: Most Improved - Ellen Ginn; and Most Outstanding - Heather Gallant.

Award recipients for the Cosmetology division were: Most Improved- Latrina Hodges; and Most Outstanding - Savannah Doggette.

Award recipients for History, Social and Behavioral Sciences were: Economics: Most Improved - Markita Watkins; Most Outstanding - Michelle Ezell; Most Outstanding - Sharon James; World History 122: Most Outstanding - Sharon Beech and Kelly Patton.

Award recipients for Humanities and Fine Arts were: English: Most Outstanding - Sharon Beech; Most Outstanding - Allison Day; Ethics: Most Improved - Harvey Chase Robinson; Most Outstanding - Juanita Roberts; General Psychology: Most Outstanding - Heather Sellers; and Sociology: Most Outstanding - Lauren Johnson.

Award recipients for Engineering Technology were: Industrial Maintenance/Electrical Technology: Most Improved - Brandon Wiggins; Most Outstanding - James Brandon Hudson; Instrumentation and Electronics Technology: Most Improved - James Brandon Hudson; and Most Outstanding - Chris Scott.

Computer Applications: Heather Gallant received Most Outstanding and Tiffany Welch received Most Improved.
Award recipients for the Natural Science and Math division were: Mathematics: Most Outstanding in Precalculus Trigonometry - Heather Sellers; Most Outstanding Precalculus Algebra - Heather Sellers and Kelly Patton; Most Outstanding in College Algebra - Jessica Dawson and Holley Parten; Most Outstanding Technical Mathematics - Courtney Stallworth, Hannah Barnes, Kimberly Goggins; Most Outstanding in Statistics - Ashley Gavin; Physical Science I: Most Outstanding - Laura "Bridgett" McKinley; Physical Science II - Mae Worthy

Most Outstanding- Katie Ezell; Human Anatomy & Physiology: Most Improved - Robin Smith; and Most Outstanding - Angela Stockman.

Heather Baker - Leadership; Anna Bush-Character; Patricia Davis - Playing to Win; Kyle Reeves - Leadership; Markita Watkins - Think Big; and Shametra McWilliams - Reach for the Stars.
