OBITUARIES Marguerite C. Barlow Marguerite C. Barlow, age 93, of Butler, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 at Camden Nursing Facility in Camden. She was born July 16, 1913 in Morvin. She was a former garment inspector with H. S. Satin Company. She was a member of Forest Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at Forest Springs Baptist Church in Morvin, on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Franklin McLelland and Rev. Phillip Webb officiating. Burial was at Forest Springs Cemetery in Morvin. Preceded in death by son, Charles Little. She is survived by: son, Jerry Barlow of Butler; daughter, Christine Pope of Magnolia; three brothers, Roy Crenshaw of Coffeeville, J. A. Crenshaw of Warner Robins, Ga., Harold Crenshaw of Thomasville; three sisters, Betty "Polly" Smith of Selma, Helen Smith of Picayune, Miss. and Eula Grey "Kitten" Parten of Mobile; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Active pallbearers were: Stuart Horton, Cory Allen, Rob Anderson, John Anderson, Terry Joe Pearson, Bobby Crenshaw, Sammy Kittrell, Jeff Barlow and Mike Crenshaw. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed. Christine Elizabeth Dungan Christine Elizabeth Dungan, age 79, a homemaker of Sandflat, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born July 26, 1927, in Coffeeville. She was a member of Bashan Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at Bashan Baptist Church, Monday, May 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William Allison officiating. Burial was in Bashan Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. She is survived by: husband, Robert Jesse Dungan of Sandflat; one son, Darrell (Donna) Dungan of Thomasville; two daughters, Margaret Ann (Johnny) Roberts of Sandflat and Janet Rhea Moton of Fulton; one brother, Ray Anderson of Centerville, Ga.; one sister, Odie Roberts of Jackson; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren. Pallbearers: Michael Nelson, Jeff Roberts, Robbie Watts, David Dungan, Christine Dungan, Ellis Godwin and Royce "Bumper" Council. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed. Berew Hope Berew Hope, age 89, of Surginer passed away May 10, 2007. He was born December 13, 1918 to Virginia and Vivion Hope, in Surginer. In 1941 he joined the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Also he retired from International Harvester in Chicago as a Machinist; and earned Certificates in Carpentry, Wood Work and Upholstery. He also successfully owned and operated a landscaping business. Funeral services were held at Church of God In Christ, Friday, May 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jessie Jones officiating. Interment in the Shady Union Cemetery in Surginer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ryals Hope; and three of his children and two grandsons. He is survived by: two daughters, Leanese, Annie (Willie); four sons, Delaney (Jane), Richard, Vivion and Quinn; two brothers, Otis and LO; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Pallbearers were friends and flowerbearers were also friends. Arrangements were by Mosley Funeral Home in Thomasville. Jessie Lee Landrum Jessie Lee Landrum, age 85, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Rush Foundation Hospital, in Meridian, Miss. She was born on January 6, 1922 in Marengo County, to the late Charlie and Callie Johnson. She was a member of the St. Paul Baptist Church of Sweet Water. Funeral services were held at St. Paul Baptist Church of Sweet Water. Interment in the New Mt. Mariah Church Cemetery of Nanafalia. She was preceded in death by her husband, General Landrum. She is survived by: one son, Harold Landrum of Auburndale, Fla.; one daughter, Jessie Randall Barron of Nanafalia; two sisters, Margaret Owens of Chicago, Ill. and Charlie Mae Blanks of Troy; six grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; three devoted great grandchildren, James (Kathy) Landrum of Sweet Water; Evell (Brigette) Landrum of Butler; Twila (Charles) Graves of Lakeland, Fla.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were grandsons and great grandsons. Flower Bearers were granddaughters and great granddaughters. Arrangements were by Mosley Funeral Home in Thomasville. William Lamar Megginson William Lamar Megginson, Age 91, of Mobile, a Clarke County native and former Jackson resident, died May 9, 2007 at a hospital in Mobile. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arco Harrison Megginson and John Willie Megginson of Thomasville, and grandson, Todd Megginson. Mr. Megginson founded Megginson Insurance and Realty Co. in Jackson, which he operated for forty-five years. He was active in the First Baptist Church serving as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He was a member of the Civitian Club, the Masonic Masons and he was a member of the Clarke County Sheriff's Posse Association. He was a well known horseman, raising Tennessee Walking Horses, he was also a hunter and avid gardener. He is survived by his wife Bessie Mae Jackson Megginson; two daughters, Patricia (Warren) Hedrick, Charolette Megginson; two sons, Lamar Megginson, Jr. and Lanier Megginson. Three grandchildren Michelle H. (Randy) Krieger, Matt (Heather) Megginson and Scott (Lisa) Hedrick and three great grandchildren. Funeral service was held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. Burial was in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville. Lathan Funeral Home conducted the graveside service.
