Sims-Spencer plan June 16 wedding

Joanna Leigh Sims
Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Earl Sims, Senior of Camden announce the engagement of their daughter, Joanna Leigh, to Danny Oneal Spencer, son of Mrs. Diane Johnson Spencer of Clanton and Mr. Clayton Edwin Spencer of Billingsley.

The bride-to be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shelton Keith Jackson of Thomasville and Mrs. Annie Ruth Williams of Pine Hill and the late Mr. Earl Sims.

Grandparents of the prospective groom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Earl Johnson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walter Spencer, Senior.

Miss Sims is a graduate of Wilcox Academy and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University. Currently, Miss Sims is pursuing a Master of Education and School Counseling degree from Auburn University and is employed by Auburn University as Coordinator of Supplemental Instruction.

Mr. Spencer is a graduate of Billingsley High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Math from Auburn University. Mr. Spencer graduated Magna Cum Laude and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Golden Key Honor Societies. While at Auburn, Mr. Spencer worked as an Auburn Football Manager. He is currently employed by Opelika Middle School.

The wedding is planned for June 16 at six o'clock in the evening at Camden Baptist Church.
