The Thomasville High School Baseball and Softball programs both placed two players on the 2007 ASWA All- State teams last week while the Sweet Water High School Baseball team had two players named to the select group.

Representing the Tiger baseball team were senior Jake Overstreet who was named to the Class 4A first team as a short stop and junior Paul Noble who received honorable mention status as a pitcher. Overstreet has signed a letter of intent to further his education and play baseball at the University of South Alabama.

Those selected from the Lady Tiger softball team were senior Dominique Watters and junior Nicole Washington. Because of her versatility as both a pitcher and infielder, Watters was selected as a utility player on the first team in Class 4A while Washington received honorable mention status as an outfielder. Watters has signed a letter of intent to further her education and play softball for Alabama Southern Community College.

Joining them on the list of honorees are Sweet Water High School baseball players Ty Glass and Drew Luker. Glass, a senior, was named to the 1A first team as a pitcher while Luker, a junior, received honorable mention status as a designated hitter. Glass, who is a southpaw, will be furthering his education and taking his baseball talents to Alabama Southern Community College.
