Sweating in the Spirit at Thomasville Church of God in Christ

Ladies and Gentlemen, let's get busy Thomasville exercise for your health. Three days a week will lower your blood pressure, help you sleep, and most of all help you feel good about yourself; Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday night from 6:00 p.m. to 6:56 p.m. at Thomasville Church of God in Christ. Everyone is invited to Sweating in the Spirit.

Blood Drive at SAMC

Southwest Alabama Medical Center will have a blood drive Friday, June 22, from 11:30 a.m. til 3:30 p.m. T-shirts and cholesterol screening to donors.

VFW Post 5106 to have monthly meeting

VFW Post 5106 and its Ladies Auxiliary will have their regular monthly meeting Monday night June 25 at 7:00 p.m.

Folk Life Festival in Camden

Black Belt Treasures will host a Folk Life Festival on Saturday, June 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The festival will feature potters Sam Williams of Monroeville and Allen Ham of Selma, bird carver John Sheffey of Minter, vine basker maker Andrew McCall of Letohatchee, white oak basket maker Walter Brooks of Monroe County, storyteller and author Kathryn Tucker Windham of Selma, quilter Deborah Carter of Newbern, stained glass artist Tyree McCloud of Boykin, artist Faye Dixon of Bennett, the Martin-Hicks Bluegrass/Gospel Band, a Kids Art Corner, and a variety of food. Demonstrations will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue throughout the day at the Black Belt Treasures Gallery located at 209 Claiborne Street in Camden. All demonstrations by artists are free of charge to the public.

PHVFF to sell BBQ

The Pine Hill Volunteer Fire Fighters will be selling Barbecue Saturday, June 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the Pine Hill City Hall for $6.00 lb. For pre order information please call 334-963-4351.
