      Dr. John A. Johnson, President of Alabama Southern Community College, recently announced the recipients of scholarships for 2007. Jeremy N. Borden, a 2007 graduate of Thomasville High School and the son of Kevin and Paula Byrd has received a Dean's scholarship from Alabama Southern.

SWHS HOBY and Leadership Representative
      David Morgan, sophomore at SWHS was selected to attend the HOBY conference at Troy University and the Leadership Conference held at Auburn University in Montgomery. He is the son of Kenneth and Melinda Morgan of Arlington. David attended the HOBY Conference the weekend of May 18-20.
