OBITUARIES Austeen Dismukes Cogle Austeen Dismukes Cogle. of Thomasville, passed away on Sunday July 1, 2007 at the Mobile Infirmary. Funeral services will be held Friday July 6, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville. The family will receive visitors beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held at Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville. She is survived by her husband, Bruce A. Cogle, Jr. and two daughters and one son. Herman Lloyd Jackson Herman Lloyd Jackson, age 76, a carpenter of Grove Hill, passed away June 28, 2007 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. He was born January 28, 1931, in Marshall County. Graveside funeral services were held at the Wade-Hicks Family Cemetery in Grove Hill on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. He is survived by: six daughters, Betty Jean Stokes, Wanda Ruth Pruitt, Elizabeth Ann Maynard and Carolyne Sanders all of Huntsville, Sherry Lynn Hodges of Bay Minette and Pamela Marie Pugh of Grove Hill; six sons, Herman M. Jackson of Woodville, Richard Vernon Jackson, Robert Edward Jackson, Jesse Floyd Jackson, James Lloyd Jackson and Stuart Russel Jackson all of Grove Hill; 32 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. James Richard Kelley James Richard "Slick" Kelley, age 70, of Mountain, Ark., died Thursday June 14, 2007 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was born February 5, 1937 to the late James Alex and Mattie Lee (Jackson) Kelley of Grove Hill. He was retired from the United States Navy after 27 years, serving during Vietnam and Korean Wars. He is survived by: two sons, James R. "Rodney" Kelley and Tim A. Kelley; one daughter, Tammy R. (Rex) Beasley- Schaefer; three granddaughters, Ashley M. Arnold, Brittney N. Beasley and Katrina S. Schaefer; three great grandchildren; four sisters, Katie (Randy) Cornor, Anita (Ralph) Hewes, Jackie (Jim) Vaughn and Crissy (Paul) Edwards; three brothers, Edward Cannon, David (Nikki) Cannon and Tommy (Lori) Cannon. Interment will be private. Joe Bernard Loftin Joe Bernard Loftin, age 80, a farmer of Thomasville passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born May 18, 1927, in Camden. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness. Funeral services were held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home, Monday, July 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. witth Elder Doug Baskin officiating. Burial was in Reeves Chapel Cemetery in Camden. He is survived by: wife, Esther Loftin of Thomasville; son, Joseph Loftin of Mobile; sister, Mattie Durant of Camden; cousins, nieces and nephews. Mertice Nell Scarbrough Mertice Nell Scarbrough, age 68, a homemaker of Grove Hill, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary. She was born November 26, 1938 in Clarke County. She was a member of Bassett Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at Bassett Creek Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Chris Kynard officiating. Burial was at Bassett Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill. She is survived by: sister, Janice S. Rush Paramore of Marianna, Fla.; brothers, Lester Scarbrough, Palmer Scarbrough both of Grove Hill; several nieces and nephews. Billy Joe Wilkerson Billy Joe Wilkerson, age 61, a welder of Arlington, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007 at his home. He was born July 7, 1945 in Moore's Valley. He was a member of County Line Baptist Church. Graveside funeral services were held at Dunning Cemetery in Dixons Mills on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Claude Agee officiating. He was preceded in death by: father, Tommy Lee Wilkerson; sister, Marian Lee Hickman; son, Douglas Caldwell Wilkerson; son, Rafe Wilkerson. He is survived by: mother, Minnie Gray Wilkerson of Centre; brother, Dennis E. Wilkerson of Dadeville; sister, Daisy Morrison of Centre; grandson, Michael Allen Wilkerson; granddaughter, Harley Wilkerson both of Saraland; former wife, Julie Harvell of Thomasville; several nieces and nephews. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed. Evva Belle Woolfe Evva Belle Woolfe, age 99, of Myrtlewood, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Willows Assisted Living in Bay Minette. She was born January 9, 1908 in Montgomery. She was retired from the Department of Human Resources after beginning her career in teaching in 1928. She was a member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church since 1940. She was also a member of the Linden Garden Club and the Myrtlewood Community Club. Funeral services were held at Camp Ground United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ed Rose officiating. Burial was in Camp Ground UMC Cemetery in Sweet Water. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ashby H. Woolfe. She is survived by: daughter, Janice (Joe) Hendrickson of Bay Minette; brother, Winston Moseley of Thomaston; sister, Mattie Pearl Mason of Linden; granddaughter, Ev' (Bob) Gunn of Birmingham; grandson, Holmes (Kim) Hendrickson of Dothan; great granddaughter, Maggie Gunn of Birmingham; great grandson, Ashby Hendrickson of Dothan; great grandson, Rob Gunn of Birmingham. Active pallbearers were: her nephews. Honorary pallbearers were: her Sunday School Class at Camp Ground UMC and Buck Compton.
