Level heads in charge of debate
More groups and organizations are wading into the debate over alcohol sales in Thomasville. And so far, when it comes to the organizations making statements, they've been well thought out and worded on both sides.

We're glad to see that level heads appear to be in control of the debate right now. It would be nice if that continued up through the Aug. 14 vote date.

There's been a lot of private discussion from individuals who have much more colorful opinions of the issue and of those who don't agree with them, we understand, but we hope those opinions don't poison the well.

Letters to the editor from individuals are still welcome and as more public organizations establish public positions on the issue we'll report on them.
