Parden-Phillips plan July 21 wedding

Whitney Lauren Parden and Thomas Alan Phillips

Paul and Nita Parden of Excel announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Whitney Lauren Parden of Excel to Thomas Alan Phillips of Grove Hill, son of Thomas and Lisa Phillips of Grove Hill.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Parden of Coffeeville and the late Ralph Jackson of Jackson and Mrs. Reba Jackson of Excel. She is a 2006 graduate of Excel High School and is currently attending Alabama Southern Community College.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Stoker of Camden and the late Valdez "Digger" Phillips of Bassets Creek and Mr. Dwance Jordan of Campbell and Mrs. Barbara Jordan of Grove Hill. He is a 2006 graduate of Clarke County High School and is currently enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

The wedding is planned for July 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Excel Assembly of God in Excel. Family and friends invited.
