Grove Hill Arts Council presents the musical "Everyman" The Promise Theatre and Performing Arts Center in cooperation with the Grove Hill Arts Council will present "Everyman." The musical will be at Clarke County's New Cultural Arts Center, at the Historic Locke Theatre in downtown Jackson Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21 at 7 p.m. A matinee will be held Sunday, July 22 at 3 p.m. All seats are $10. The musical play will feature students from Clarke and surrounding counties. Tickets are on sale at local banks, from GHAC members, with a limited number available at the door. DHS Varsity Cheerleaders hosting softball tournament Demopolis Varsity Cheerleaders are hosting 1st Annual Softball Tournament July 21, at the Demopolis Sportsplex. CAAST to hold meeting July 24 Citizens Against Alcohol Sales in Thomasville will hold a meeting for all concerned citizens on Tuesday, July 24 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Thomasville Church of God in Christ, 1200 Church Drive, off Martin Luther King Jr. Street. The group will discuss plans for the remaining weeks leading up to the wet/dry vote on August 14. Committee chairmen and their committee members are urged to be in attendance.
