Matthews, McCants plan August wedding

Mr. and Mrs. James Davis Thompson of Gardendale are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ali Michelle Matthews to Christopher Coleman McCants, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Robert McCants, Jr. of Jackson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Maude Schnittker of Gardendale and the late Joe Schnittker and James and Mary Thompson of Adamsville.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Chet and Rebekah Noble of Jackson and the late John Robert McCants, Sr. and the late Ruby McCants of Jackson.

Ali received a BA Business Administration from Faulkner University and is employed at Brooks Chevrolet in Thomasville.

Chris received a BS Environmental Management from University of Mobile and is a State Farm Insurance agent in Thomasville.

The wedding will be an event of August 18 at 3:00 p.m. at Thomasville Baptist Church in Thomasville. All family and friends are invited to attend.
