We would hate to see our town pass alcohol sales I am 12 years old, and I think that Thomasville should not pass alcohol sales. For one thing I think it is morally wrong to drink alcohol. In the Bible it says in Proverbs 23:20- 21 Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags. Also, people would get drunk and the crime rates in Thomasville would rise. Ephesians 5:18 says Do not get drunk on wine which leads to sin. Instead be filled with the spirit. If Thomasville wants God's blessings then we should not have alcohol sales. Our schools can benefit without alcohol sales. I don't live in the city limits which means my family can't vote but it is still our city and we would hate to see our town pass alcohol sales. It would also cause more trash on our streets.
We have made it this far without the sales of alcohol. It might bring more businesses but my family would not go there because in the Bible it says not to meet with drunkards.
