      As of this past Monday, August 6, most if not all of the high school football programs across the state of Alabama officially began practicing for the 2007 season. In that group are the three teams in our area each with their own agenda for the new year.

Mississippi wins Pre-Majors World Series

      The 2007 Dixie Pre- Majors World Series ended in some respects the same way it began with the team from Lakeland, Florida matched up against the team from Laurel County, Mississippi. The biggest difference in that first day and the final day of the tournament was the results.
