Hayes-Powell set Aug. 24 ceremony
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Scottie and Rita Hayes of Lasca. She is the granddaughter of Arland and Helen Hayes of Lasca and Dot Champion and the late Daniel Champion of Thomasville. Arley graduated from Sweet Water High School and is employed at Richardson Communications Inc. in Thomasville. The prospective groom is the son of Jody and Donna Jean Powell of Bashi. He is the grandson of the late Donald and Myra Jean Hare of Bashi and the late Heflin and Ruby and Powell of Scyrene. He is a graduate of Thomasville High School and is working the logging business.
The wedding will be held at 2 p.m., August 24, at the Champion House. Invitations have been sent.
