Library plans moving along

The Thomasville Public Library Board is making good progress with plans to build a new library in Thomasville. On Thursday, Aug. 2, board members Hildra Clarke, Scott Lewis, Rita Nichols and Marc Prescott, along with Library Director Gina Wilson and City Council Member Alberta Dixon toured the libraries at Daphne and Fairhope in an effort to gain insight on constructing a new library.

Daphne Public Library is currently involved in a large expansion of its existing building, and Fairhope Public Library completed a building project earlier this year. At the Daphne Public Library, the mayor and library staff gave valuable insight on funding and completing a building expansion project. The Fairhope Library provided concrete ideas on meeting the informational needs of the public.
