CHURCH CALENDAR Thomasville Baptist Church will sponsor a 24-hour prayer vigil beginning at 7 a.m., Monday Aug. 13 and continuing until 7 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 14, in the church sanctuary. Andrew McIntyre will be the guest speaker. Following the service there will be dinner on the ground and the Revelators will sing after dinner. Everyone is invited. Antioch Baptist Church to celebrate homecoming Antioch Baptist Church to celebrate homecoming Aug. 12, with Sunday School at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m. and dinner at 12 noon in the fellowship hall. There will be a singing beginning at 1:30 p.m. featuring the Old Convention Singers of Clarke County. Everyone is invited. Cedar Point Baptist to hold homecoming and revival services Cedar Point Baptist Church, Highway 31 West Bend Community of Coffeeville, will hold its homecoming and revival Sunday, Aug. 19, at 2 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Derrick Powell and his congregation of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Salipta. Revival time is 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20 through Friday, Aug. 24. Speaker for the revival will be Rev. Edmond Charleston, Jr. of Antioch M.B. Church in Nicholsville. Everyone is invited. Annual conference set in Uriah The annual conference for youth, men and women will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, at Grove Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 503 Scott Road in Uriah. The theme of the conference is "Understanding and using your spiritual gifts." Schedule for the day includes: Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.; prayer walk from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. with the program to follow. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m. Dr. Claudette Owens, native of Frisco City and current resident of Decatur along with some of the members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur will be conducting this conference sponsored by the Missionaries of Grove Hill Baptist Church. Givenland CME plans homecoming, revival Homecoming and revival will be hosted by Givenland CME Church, Lyles Road in Thomasville, Sunday Aug. 12, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Eddie Morrissett of Hopewell CME Church in Monroeville will deliver the message. Revival services will be Wednesday, Aug. 15 through Friday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. Rev. John T. Watkins, pastor of Union Chapel CME Church in Ward, Ala. will deliver the message on Wednesday and Thursday night. Rev. Cory Pruitt, pastor of Mt. Zion No. 2 Baptist Church, Grove Hill will deliver the message on Friday night. Everyone is invited.
