Boys invited to join Cub Scouts program

Join the Cub Scouts!

Here's your chance to join the Cub Scout program on Thursday, Aug. 16, at Thomas ville Elemen - tary School at 7 p.m. Cub Scouting is a year round program for youth in first through fifth grade. It is designed to instill character, citizenship, physical fitness and duty to God.

Also, if your son enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and sports, the Scouting program offers opportunities in all of these areas as well as spending quality time with his parent(s).

Scouting is the largest youth organization in the United States, serving over 3.5 million youth.

Cub Scouts is broken down into different age groups by grade. The first graders are Tiger Cub, second graders are Wolves, third graders are Bears, fourth graders are first year Webelos and fifth graders are second year Webelos. Boys aged 10 and a half and over are Boy Scouts.
