Arley Hayes of Lasca and Jason Powell of Bashi announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Scottie and Rita and Hayes of Lasca. She is the granddaughter of Arland and Helen Hayes of Lasca and Dot Champion and the late Daniel Champion of Thomasville. Arley graduated from Sweet Water High School and is employed at Richardson Communications Inc. in Thomasville.
The prospective groom is the son of Jody and Donna Jean Powell of Bashi. He is the grandson of the late Donald and Myra Jean Hare of Bashi and the late Heflin and Ruby Powell of Scyrene. He is a graduate of Thomasville High School and is working in the logging business.
The wedding will be held at 2 p.m., August 25, at the Champion House. Invitations have been sent.
