Cooper, Beck to wed Sept. 8

Mr. and Mrs. William Roland Cooper Jr. of Camden announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney DeLaine, to James Anthony Beck Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Anthony Beck Sr. of Pine Hill.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Alfred Pugh Sr. of Thomasville and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Roland Cooper Sr. of Camden.

Grandparents of the prospective groom are Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lynn Harvell of Pine Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Woodie Earl Beck Jr. of Butler.

Miss Cooper is a graduate of Wilcox Academy and received her Associates in Science degree from Southern Union State Community College. Miss Cooper is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in accounting from Athens State University and is employed by McGraw-Webb Chevrolet in Camden.

Mr. Beck is a graduate of Wilcox Academy and is selfemployed as owner and operator of Beck Plumbing in Pine Hill.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 8 at 5:30 in the afternoon at Camden Baptist Church.
