Thomasville Library programs starting

The Thomasville Public Library will offer several programs for children and youth this fall. These programs require registration so call or come by the library if you are interested.

- Story hour for three-year olds (Reading Bees) will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 13.

- Story hour for four-year olds (Froggy Fours) will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13.

- Story hour for K-fourth (Dragonflies) will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11.

- Book Club for teenagers will meet once a month for pizza and a book discussion. Anyone interested, please contact Melanie or Gina for more information.

- Book Partnership. The library has the book for you! Here is a chance to partner with the library and to honor a birthday, graduation, baptism, etc., for any age. The children's wing has a need for new replacements for our very loved and read books. The books are on display in the main library. Donate $20 and choose one of the books or make a recommendation of your own. The library will place a bookplate in the front of the book articulating the donor's demonstration of love. All the children in the area will benefit and the library can maintain the quality of collection the readers have come to love and expect.

In addition to the youth programs the library offers free wireless access for laptop users and used books and VHS tapes for sale. The library will participate in the countywide book read.
