Star Bethel P.B. Church continues revival services

Star Bethel P.B. Church will continue in revival at 7 p.m., through Friday. Rev. Christopher Spencer, pastor of St. Matthew-Watson Baptist Church in Boligee, will be the evangelist for the week. Everyone is invited. Shiloh, Dixons Mills, New Mt. Maraiah, Nanafalia, New Shalom, Sweet Water; Friday: Dugg Hill, Coatopa, St. Matthew-Watson, Boligee, Star Bethel, Sweet Water.

Benefit singing for Dee Bender medical expenses

Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 3 miles north of Thomasville on Highway 5, will hold a benefit singing for Dee Bender to help with his medical expenses incurred due to an accident. The singing, featuring The Glory Road Quartet along with local talent, will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18. Refreshments will follow. A love offering will be taken. All proceeds will go toward Dee's medical bills. For more information call 334-636- 1606.

Cedar Point Baptist Church to hold revival and homecoming

Cedar Point Baptist Church, Highway 31 in the West Bend community of Coffeeville, will hold its homecoming and revival Sunday, Aug. 19, at 2 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Derrick Powell and the congregation of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Salipta. Revival time is 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 20 through Friday, Aug. 24.

Speaker for the revival will be Rev. Edmond Charleston Jr. of Antioch M. B. Church in Nicholsville. Everyone is invited.

Guest speaker

Minister Jack Walters will be speaking at 6 p.m., Aug. 26, at Little Zion Tabernacle Church in Dixon Mills, where Pastor Singleton is the pastor.

Parents-sons athletic dinner in Camden

Parents and sons dinner for boys involved in the junior high and senior high athletic program at Wilcox Academy in Camden will be held at 7 p.m., Aug. 28, at Camden Baptist Church. Rick Starke, who served with Athletes in Action, a division of Campus Crusade at Auburn University and Mississippi State University, will be the speaker. Seating is limited to the first 125 ticket holders. Tickets may be purchased at Camden National Bank or Camden Baptist and Methodist Church offices. Cost is $10 each or $20 maximum per family.

Singing in Grove Hill

The Crimson City Quartet of Mobile will be in concert at 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 26, at Tompkins Baptist Church, 14130 Highway 43 in Grove Hill.

Sweating in the Spirit with Thomasville Church of God in Christ

Ladies and Gentleman, let's get busy Thomasville, exercise for your health. Three days a week will lower your blood pressure, help you sleep, and most of all help you feel good about yourself; Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights from 6 p.m. to 6:56 p.m. at Thomasville Church of God in Christ. Everyone is invited to Sweating in the Spirit.
