New school year brings exciting changes to THS

Out with the old and in with the new! Welcome back Thomasville High School students, faculty, and staff! With exciting new changes taking place, the school is beginning with a fresh taste. There have been a few new changes this year. On behalf of the student body, I would like to welcome our new principal Mr. Kyle Ferguson and all the new members of our Tiger community.

Mr. Ferguson has implemented some exciting new changes. Seniors now have privileges that allow them to enter lunch five minutes early. Also, Mr. Ferguson has begun a new program entitled "Gotcha!" which rewards random acts of kindness. Thank you, Mr. Fergusson!

The Thomasville Tiger football team, band, and cheerleaders are gearing up for an exciting new season. Spirit shirts are on sale until August 17 for $13 each. See any Tiger cheerleader or visit the High School office to order. There will be a jamboree against the Demopolis Tigers, in Demopolis, on August 23rd at 7 p.m. The first regular reason game will be on August 30th against the Sweetwater Bulldogs in Sweetwater. Go Tigers!

Students prepare to look your best on August 22 for school pictures. These school pictures will be taken in full uniform.

The ring ceremony for the junior class will be held on August 29th at 5:30 p.m. Juniors, congratulations on this very special event.

The Thomisana yearbook staff is currently selling senior and business ads. The prices are as follows: full page- $160; half page- $90; fourth page- $65; eighth page- $ 45. The last day to purchase ads is Sept. 15th.

Students please remember to keep our campus clean and respect our schools.
