Team Falcon does well in tourney
Coach Tommy Burroughs and his Team Falcon participated in the Third Annual Sonic's Blast Tournament played on July 13 - 15 at Carver High School in Montgomery. Competing with 10 teams in the 16- 17 age bracket they won three games on Saturday before falling to "The Alabama Dream Team", an AAU team from the Montgomery area, in the championship game. The game which turned into quite a defensive battle ended up 50- 46.
Team Falcon was lead in the tournament by Justin Wagner and Marcus Lee from Sunshine High School, Jermaine Tubbs from Akron High School, Chasquin Sturdivant from Sumter County High School and Kalen Partee who is from Jackson, Mississippi but who will be transferring to play at Homewood High School in the Birmingham area this year.
