OBITUARIES Mark Shane Sealy Mark Shane Sealy, 52, of Thomaston, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at the Long Term Hospital of Tuscaloosa. Mr. Sealy was born Sept. 25, 1954, in Arlington. He was a member of The Magnolia Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was employed as an electrician with Weyerhaeuser. The funeral was held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with James H. Martin and Branch President William Newton officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Cemetery in Magnolia. Mr. Sealy is survived by his wife, Pamela J. Sealy of Thomaston; one daughter, Amy (Shannon) Sealy-Martin of Thomaston; two brothers, Michael Sealy of Bridgeport and Wardel Sealy of St. Elmo; one sister, Sherry (Jimmy) Gibson of Grand Bay; and one granddaughter, Ann Marie Martin of Thomaston. Pallbearers were Sammy Cannon, Aubrey Cannon, Clyde Bolen, Al Moseley, Dennis Mendenhall, Dan Gunter, Pat Campbell and Buddy Stephens. Honorary pallbearers were Fiberline E&I Crew. Desmond Eugene 'Deb' Bridges Desmond Eugene "Deb" Bridges, 80, of Arlington, died Friday, August 17, 2007, at George County Regional Hospital in Lucedale, Miss. Mr. Bridges was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Coy. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local No. 653 in Mobile. Mr. Bridges was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 20, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with the Rev. David Murray and the Rev. Donald Hatcher officiating. Burial was in Arlington UMC Cemetery in Arlington. Mr. Bridges is survived by his wife, Debbie Bridges of Arlington; three daughters, Mary (Joe) Voigt of Hope Hull, Patricia (Donald) Hatcher of Troy and Deborah (Andy) Bertagnolli of Ashford; two sons, George (Ann) Strickland of Lucedale, Miss., and Robert (Christina) Strickland of Slocomb; one daughter-in-law, Jeanie (Charles E.) Strickland of Mobile; two brothers, J.B. Bridges and Glover Bridges, both of Pensacola; four sisters, Ethel Gill of Mobile, Margurite Allday of Grove Hill, Sybil Kam of Pensacola and Nell Stokes of Linden; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Tony Harrelson, Robert Strickland, James Strickland, Jason Strickland, Daniel Strickland, Aaron Bertagnolli, Gordon Hatcher and Allen Turner. Honorary pallbearers were Charlie Strickland, Abe Cook, John Criswell, Harry Mason, Kennon Agee, Ted Bertagnolli, Willie Armstrong, Willard Powe and Jimmy Williams.
