Thomasville Baptist Church sponsored a gospel outreach mission team to Guatemala July 22 through July 28 where they worked in the village of Conevisa, Zacapa. The team worked with Allen and Laurelle Stoudenmire, of Thomasville, who serve as Master's Missionaries with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. They served alongside Pastor Orlando Cruz and church leaders from the Shalom Baptist Mission in Zacapa who has a vision of starting a church in Conevisa. Forty-three people prayed to receive Jesus during the week and 20 homes asked for Bible studies to be held. The team was also able to share with 145 students in a local school.
