Tigers get ready for Demopolis jamboree

The Thomasville Tigers will be traveling to Demopolis on Thursday, August 23 to take on the 5A Demopolis Tigers in a pre-season game. The start time on the game is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

The game format will pit the varsities from both teams against each other for three quarters with the junior varsities scheduled to wrap things up in the final period.

The River City Tigers are under the direction of a new coaching staff with Tom Causey and a number of his assistants having moved over from Andalusia to take charge of the program at Demopolis. This game should provide the Demopolis fans a good opportunity to come out and see the changes in direction the program will be taking in 2007.

For Thomasville fans it will be an opportunity to get an early look at the many players who have stepped in to replace the seniors lost off of the 4A State Runner-up team from 2006.

All in all it promises to be a very interesting evening for football fans who support both programs.
