Six youths arrested

Six juveniles were arrested under felony charges by the Thomasville Police Department last week. Each child faces three felony counts that include two counts of criminal mischief and one count of defacing public property. A seventh juvenile was charged with reckless endangerment.

With arrests quickly following a number of criminal acts in town recently, Thomasville Mayor Sheldon Day praised the police department at Monday night's council meeting. "They're doing a great job for the city," Day said.

Other felony arrests included Tommy Nobles, charged with two counts of criminal mischief and one count of defacing public property.

Misdemeanor arrests include: Patrick Oneal Westbrook - theft of property, driving without first obtaining a drivers license, worthless checks (two counts), Annie Ruth Rich - theft of property, Antionette Mallory - disorderly conduct, Earnest Derrell Butler - theft of service, James Andrew Bridges - minor in possession of alcohol, Katrina Letressa Butler Graham - criminal trespass, Abraham Ramey - violation of noise ordinance, LaShonda Latrice Williams - speeding in a construction work zone.
