Hornsby-Vick ceremony held

Mrs. Joshua Craig Vick
Christy Leigh Hornsby and Joshua Craig Vick were married on June 2, 2007 at five o'clock in the afternoon at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Montgomery. Dr. Robert Dubois officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Claxton Hornsby of Montgomery. Grandparents are Mrs. Mildred Eggers Wilkerson, and the late Mr. Walter Pierson Wilkerson Sr. of Enterprise and Mr. Claxton C. Hornsby, and the late Mrs. Norma Dismukes Hornsby of New Brockton.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Craig Vick of Sweet Water. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Alden Springfield of Thomasville, the late Mrs. Margie Hudson Vick of Sweet Water, and the late Mr. Sedrick Amon Vick of Dixons Mills.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a diamond white satin gown designed by Demetrios. Elegant embroidery and crystals detailed the bodice and back bustle of the strapless A-line gown. She wore a fingertip silk illusion veil and carried a hand tied bouquet of pink and white roses.

Attending the bride, as matrons of honor, were her sister, Hayley Hornsby Surles of Montgomery, and Sarah Burch Lord of Fairfax, Va. Bridesmaids were Ashley Suzanne Chavis and Lauren Elizabeth Parkman, both of Birmingham; Lynsey Barton Dill, cousin of the bride, Ginny Anders Sain, and Amy Michelle Vick, sister of the groom, all of Tuscaloosa; Neah Lynn Mitchell and Lacey LeAnn Parrish, both of Montgomery. Honorary bridesmaid was Ellen Dubois McBee of Montgomery. The bride's niece, Taylor Anne Surles, served as flower girl. Program attendants were Mallory Diamond and Alexis Reese.

The groom's father, Randall Craig Vick, accompanied his son as best man. Groomsmen were Tyler Blakeney of Tuscaloosa; Justin Irvin and Christopher Morgan, both of Northport; Christopher Snodgrass of Birmingham; Scotty Meyers and Michael Surles, brother-in-law of the bride, both of Montgomery; Daniel Vick of Sweet Water, and Joshua Wilson of Auburn, both cousins of the groom. Hayes Cole, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Nuptial music was provided by organist, Margaret Cauthen, violinist, Beth Hoener, pianist, Joe Thomas, and vocalists, Katie Champion, Girod Cole, and Lori Hall.

A reception followed at Arrowhead Country Club Joan Brown served as the wedding director.

The couple honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and now resides in Northport.
