Nobles receives award for Blue Jacket of the Quarter
The citation issued by the base Commanding Officer, Cap - tain M.M. Leary read as follows: ***** Yeoman Seaman Clifford J. Nobles, United States Navy for services set forth in the following citation: For professional achievement while serving as command mail orderly, administrative department, U.S. Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba from April 2007 to June 2007. Demonstrating a tenacious work ethic, Seaman Nobles reviewed and processed personal mail for over 8,000 GTMO residents, over 800 pieces of official, registered, certified and first class mail for the Naval Station, Joint Task Force and 22 Tenant Commands. Exhibiting qualities above his pay grade, he flaw - less ly produced more than 30 command awards, generated the command plan of the week for the executive officer's review and approval and processed over 100 pieces of correspondence, enhancing morale within the command. Additionally, Sea man Nobles is active in the community working with school children to positively influence their lives and contribute to the betterment of his community and the United States Navy. In recognition of his achievements, Seaman Nobles was selected U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba's Blue Jacket of the Quarter, Third Quarter Fiscal year 2007. Seaman Nobles' exceptional professional ability, personal initiative and loyal de votion to duty reflected credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions the United States Naval service.
***** Yeoman Seaman Nobles is the son of Clifford and Jose phine Nobles of Thomasville. He is a 2005 graduate of Thomas ville High School and enlisted in the Navy in July 2006.
