Lady Tigers go two and two

The Thomasville High School Lady Tiger Volleyball team opened their season on the road in Monroeville on Tuesday, August 28, in a trimatch with Jackson and Monroe County. The Thomasville girls defeated Jackson in their best 2 out of 3 match winning two straight games 25 - 14 and 25 - 17. In their second match of the day the Lady Tigers of Monroe County turned the tables on Thomasville's Lady Tigers defeating them in two straight 25 - 23 and 25 - 19.

The Lady Tigers then traveled the Jackson on Friday, August 31, for a tri-match with Leroy and Jackson. The Lady Tigers opened up with Leroy and dropped two straight two straight to the Lady Bears 25 - 12 and 25 - 19. On a brighter note the Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Aggies in two straight games in their second match of the day.

With their record at 2 and 2 the Thomasville Ladies hosted the Lady Tigers from Demopolis on Tuesday, September 4, in a best 3 of 5 match. The Thomasville Ladies took the first game 25 - 23 and then dropped the second one to Demopolis 25 - 19. The Lady Tigers of Thomasville then won game three 25 - 17 and game four 25 - 22 to claim the match and move their record to 3 and 2.

Then on Thursday, September 6, the Lady Tigers played host to the Lady Bulldogs from Clarke County High School in another 3 out of 5 match. The Lady Bulldogs took both games one and two in the match winning them 25 - 20 and 25 - 18.

With their backs against the wall the Lady Tigers bounced back in game three defeating their guest from the County Seat 25 - 21. Unfortunately the fourth game of the match went the Lady Bulldogs 25 - 20 ending the match with Clarke County on top.

With their season mark now at 3 and 3 the Lady Tigers were next scheduled to travel to Atmore on Tuesday, September 11, to take on the Lady Blue Devils of Escambia County High School in a best 3 out of 5 match.
