OBITUARIES Samuel Lamar Loftin Samuel Lamar Loftin, 60, of Demopolis, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at his home. Mr. Loftin was born Jan. 19, 1947, in Thomasville. He was director of operations of Rock- Tenn Co. He was a member of Sweet Water United Methodist Church. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 14, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden with the Rev. Jackie Gaston and the Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Burial was in Old Liberty Cemetery in Nicholsville. Mr. Loftin is survived by two brothers, Jerry E. (Joyce) Loftin of Sweet Water and Benjamin Michael (Sue) Loftin of Sweet Water; one niece, Jennifer L. (Jason) Pugh of Bashi; two nephews, Michael Loftin of Sweet Water and Mitchell (Amber) Loftin of Cullman; and three great-nephews, Cameron Pugh of Bashi, Tyler Pugh of Bashi and Cooper Loftin of Cullman. Pallbearers were Michael Loftin, Mitchell Loftin, Jason Pugh, Stacey McManus, Jamey Propst, Danny Buchanon, Jep Buchanon and Tim Vick. Honorary pallbearers were T.C. Adams, Jim Malone, Gary Malone, Jon Warner, David Tait, Don Skinner, Ronnie Hall, Steve Sanford, Ceyla Jones, Buffy Etheridge, Betty Johnson, Kathy Akin, Bobby Hodge, Shirley Harvey, Randy McManus, Dr. Paul Ketcham and the Comfort Care Hospice workers.
