CHURCH CALENDAR

Homecoming

Thomasville Church of God on Brown Street will hold homecoming beginning at 10 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 23. Guest speakers will be the Rev. Stan Holder, state ministries coordinator, and his wife Teresa. No afternoon service will be held. The Rev. Raymond Williams, pastor, invites everyone to attend.

Revival

Grove Hill Methodist Protestant Church, Highway 43 across from Lathan Funeral Home, will be in revival at 7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 23, through Wednesday, Sept. 26. Rev. Mark Lambert will be guest speaker and Grove Hill's Praise and Worship Team will be leading the music. Church pastor is the Rev. Benny Crawford.

Usher day

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 5757 Nicholsville Road in Sweet Water, will host its annual usher day program at 2 p.m., Sept. 23. The Rev. Larry Hawkins and his church family of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Pascagoula, Miss., will be special guests for the afternoon. Church pastor, Edmond Charleston and congregation extend an invitation to everyone to this program.

Children's ministry

Kidz Quest Children's Ministry and children's pastors, Eric and Anita Kehner, of First Assembly of God in Jackson invite children ages 3 to 12, to "Kingdom Kidz Crusade, Sunday through Tues day, Sept. 23 - 25. Activities will be held from 6 - 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, and from 7 - 8:30 p.m., Monday and Tuesday.

Parents are invited to bring their children to this funpacked event where they will be challenged through worship, object lessons, puppets, drama, scripture, special guest characters, games and much more.

Included will be free prizes every night with one boy or girl ages 3-7 and 8-12 receiving a grand prize on Tuesday night. Also included will be a prize awarded to the child who brings the most friends through the crusade.

First Assembly of God is located on Highway 69, across from the National Guard Armory in Jackson. For more information call 251-246- 4736.

Homecoming and revival

Sunflower A.O.H. Church of God on McFadden Avenue in Thomasville will hold homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 14, followed by revival Monday through Friday, Oct. 15 - 19.

Homecoming will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14. Speaker will be Elder Raymond McConnell, pastor, of Christ Temple in Lower Peachtree.

Evangelist for the week of revival will be Elder Bobby R. Harmon, of Carlton A.O.H. Church of God.

Sweating in the Spirit with Thomasville Church of God in Christ

Ladies and Gentleman, let's get busy Thomasville, exercise for you health. Three days a week will lower your blood pressure, help you sleep, and most of all help you feel good about yourself; Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights from 6 p.m. to 6:56 p.m. at Thomasville Church of God in Christ. Everyone is invited to Sweating in the Spirit.
