Being involved looks great on college applications
Katie Simon

Well, I don't know about all of you, but these cool mornings have definitely been refreshing! Speaking of refreshing, it is good to be a senior this week at Thomasville High School! Thanks to Mr. Ferguson, all seniors who have passed their graduation exams are not required to check in until 11:15 a.m. this week.

Congratulations to the seniors and sophomores! Because you were so loud at the pep rally last week, Mr. Ferguson is rewarding you by making it a blue jean day, but only for you. We'll see if the freshman and juniors can catch up this week. This Friday our Tigers will be playing W.S. Neal at 7 p.m., here in Thomasville. Let's add another win to our record! Good Luck Tigers!

Don't forget, See You At The Pole is Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 7 a.m. You won't want to miss it!

More club officers have been elected. This year, the Drama club elected the following people: president - Caleb Clardy, vice president - Julie Dozier and Secretary - Paula Fendley.

For Thespian officers, John Sims was elected president, Paula Fendley was elected vice president, Valeria King was chosen secretary, and the publicity official is Sally Sperling.

Those of you who are aspiring to become an FCCLA member should be at the meeting, Sept. 25, at 7:20 in Mrs. Crowley's room. You must pay the $10 club fee to be an officer.

Students, if you're not in a club, join one now. There's a plethora to chose from. If you're interested in participating in a little community service this year, check out the Leo club. If agriculture is your thing, sign up for FFA. Want to see an inkling of what God is doing at Thomasville High? Visit the Impact Club. These are only a few. There's also history club, book club, Spanish club, FBLA, etc. So get involved! You won't regret it. And hey, it will look great on a college application!

Reporting to you from inside Thomasville High School, I'm Katie Simon. God Bless You.
