Sept. 13, marked a very significant time in history for the junior class of 2009 at Sweet Water High School. The junior class participated in its very own ring ceremony.

A ring ceremony is a very important, exciting time in a junior's life that symbolizes that their journey through high school is coming to an end.

The ceremony began with Melanie Curtis, class president, leading the attendants in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Thirty-five students participated in the event. Every student had the opportunity to bring a parent or special person in their life to present their ring. Most were overwhelmingly beaming with joy once they received their rings.

Each ring is uniquely and differently designed for each individual. The members of the class of 2009 wear their rings with Bulldog pride. Not only was this ceremony very symbolic to the juniors, it also marked a record in the most participation ever at a ring ceremony.

Wonderful refreshments such as chicken, shrimp, finger foods, and cake fed well over 100 people. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
