OBITUARIES John Edmund Adams III John Edmund Adams III, 54, of Bon Secour died September 28, 2007. Mr. Adams was born April 26, 1953. He was a native of Grove Hill. He was a retired Navy Senior Chief. Survivors include his wife, Merrilee Adams of Bon Secour; one son, John M. Adams of Bon Secour; one daughter, Melissa Adams of Bon Secour; his parents, John E. (Nanelle) Adams Jr. of Grove Hill; two brothers, Peter Adams of Columbus, Ga. and David Adams of Gulf Shores; and one sister, Evelyn Adams of Lafayette, La. The funeral was held at 7 p.m., Oct. 2, at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley with the Rev. Chris Coats officiating. Mrs. Agee, a former postmistress, was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Franklin, Tenn. She was a former resident of Arlington and a long-time member of Arlington United Methodist Church. For the past 15 years Mrs. Agee had been a member of the Grove Hill United Methodist Church. Graveside service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 1, at Arlington United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dave Rhodes officiating. Mrs. Agee is survived by two sons, Tony (Georgia) Agee of Mobile and Claude (Joyce) Agee of Grove Hill; one brother, Frank Ashworth of Madison, Wis.; one sister, Dot Wright of Pine Hill; four grandchildren, Marcia Agee of Robertsdale, Chad Agee of Grove Hill, Sandra Anderson of Grove Hill and Lynn Allday of Grove Hill; and seven great-grandchildren, Jacee Anderson of Grove Hill, Jake Anderson of Grove Hill, John Adams Anderson of Grove Hill, Rylan Allday of Grove Hill, Claudia Allday of Grove Hill, Finn Agee of Robertsdale and Powell Agee of Grove Hill. Mrs. Driggers was born April 14, 1926 in Gordon. She was an insurance agent and was a member of Linden Baptist Church. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 28, at Linden Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Creel officiating. Burial was in Linden Memorial Park. Mrs. Driggers is survived by one son, Conrad (Stacy) Driggers of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter Donna (Kenneth) Jacobs of Linden; three sisters, Estelle Parrish of Auburndale, Fla., Lois Scott of Orlando, Fla. and Sue Danner of Tallahassee, Fla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Driggers was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Driggers; and two brothers, A.L. Crosby and Broward Conrad. Pallbearers were Kevin Jacobs, Chris Driggers, Jeffrey Driggers, Brandon Smith, Kenneth Barrineau and Ben Lane. Honorary pallbearers were the staff members of Marengo Nursing Home. Ms. Hall was born May 5, 1926 in Octagon. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Linden. Graveside service was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Old Octagon Cemetery in Linden with the Rev. Daniel Gandy officiating. Ms. Hall is survived by one brother, Clyde Hall of Linden. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden directed. Henry Alvin Hill Henry Alvin Hill, 61, of Thomasville died Monday, October 1, 2007, at Southwest Alabama Medical Center. Mr. Hill was born Oct. 21, 1945 in Grove Hill. He was a former storeroom clerk at Ciba Geigy Corporation. Graveside service was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Henley Cemetery in Fulton with the Rev. Maurice Dyess officiating. Mr. Hill is survived by one son, Kevin Hill of Grove Hill; one daughter, Debra Greene of Pine Hill; his mother, Bernice Horton Hill of Grove Hill; one brother, Graylin Hill of Grove Hill; and two sisters, Bettie Dungan of Grove Hill and Pattie Jo Tucker of Thomasville. Pallbearers were Eudell Dungan, Shaun Dungan, Graylin Hill, Chase Tucker, Brian Tucker and Harold Smith.
