Two men stabbed over weekend
By KATHRYN F. PICKARD Contributing Writer

Two men were stabbed and another hit on the head with a board during two altercations over the weekend.

On Friday evening Eric Lamar Davis Jr. of Whatley received a call from his child's mother, Sequinta Bailey of Grove Hill, telling him to come get their child.

Davis and a friend, Roshan Denson went to Denson's house, where they met Bailey. Bailey placed the infant in a car seat and Davis took the infant and car seat and placed them in the truck.

As they were leaving Davis' right arm was hanging out of the passenger window. At that point Bailey was said to have run to the vehicle and cut him with a box cutter.

Davis was admitted to Grove Hill Memorial Hospital and Bailey was charged with domestic violence, first degree.

On Saturday Steve Washington of Jackson was at his grandparents' home in the Gritney community when Raynard Fox Williams of Alma came to the residence.

According to Washington, Williams began cussing him and Washington asked Williams to leave.

Williams then allegedly pushed Washington and kicked him in the leg.

Washington said he tried to leave but Williams grabbed him across the throat and head and cut him from his left ear to the back of his head.

Washington was able to break free but Williams tried to cut him again. At that point Williams found a board and hit Washington in the head.

Both were taken to Jackson Medical Center. Washington was treated and released and Williams was admitted.

Both arrests were made by Deputy Steve Carlisle of the Clarke County Sheriff's Department.
