Recently the ladies in the business office at Thomasville Nursing Home smelled something electrical going wrong. A call was made to the Fire Department for an expert to come check out the situation. Much to the surprise of everyone within 5 minutes three of Thomasville's finest Fire trucks loaded with Firemen came to the rescue. It turned out to be minor and there was no fire. Diane Gatlin, Administrator thanked everyone and apologized for calling them out for a minor situation. Mayor Day stated, "When you say nursing home, everyone stops what they are doing to assist. We all remember a few years ago when the laundry room caught on fire, and it was not minor."
