Jackson newspaper moving

The South Alabamian newspaper office in Jackson is moving.

The South Alabamian office will be closed Thursday and Friday, Oct. 11-12 for moving to new quarters at 1525 North College Avenue.

"Please bear with us while we make this move," said SA Publisher Jim Cox. "We have a lot of office supply inventory, store fixtures, desks and computer equipment to move and it is necessary for us to shut down to do so. We plan to be open at our new location Monday morning, Oct. 15."

The telephone numbers, fax number and e-mail addresses will all be the same, only the physical location will be different.

The new building is 3,500 square feet and includes showroom space for office supplies and offices for the newspaper staff.

"It will take us a few weeks to get everything straight and in order and after that is done an open house will be held," Cox added.

Cox is co-publisher of The Thomasville Times.
