Quilt expo Oct. 26-27
Planning has begun for the Black Belt Treasures Quilt Expo: Pieces of Time which will be held on October 26 and 27, 2007, in the Black Belt Treasures Gallery in historic downtown Camden. The weekend events are being planned as a celebration of the artistry and craftsmanship of the quilts of the past and the present. The two-day expo will offer visitors opportunities to learn about the history of quilting and to meet many of the finest quilters and artisans in the Black Belt region.
Activities on Friday, October 26, will include a quilt-share event led by Mary Elizabeth Johnson Huff and Carole King, of the Alabama Quilt Book Project.
